  • A PDF reader for lesson plans and handouts

I downloaded a ZIP file. What do I do next?

Once downloaded:

  1. Open (unzip) the ZIP file

  2. A folder will appear containing all lesson materials

  3. Open the files you want to use or customize

Just send me a message. I’m always happy to help and make sure you get what you need.

You can email me at: teachingwithpower@gmail.com

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. If for any reason the materials aren’t working for you, I offer a full refund.

I purchased Teaching with Power, but I can’t find my materials. Where are they?

After you complete your purchase, you’ll receive an automated email right away that includes a download link and password.

This email may look like a simple receipt or order confirmation, so be sure to open it and look for the download link inside.

If you don’t see it, please check your Spam or Promotions folder.

I’m receiving weekly lesson emails, but I never saw the earlier lessons.
  • Weekly emails include newly released lessons only

  • Earlier lessons and foundation materials are included in the initial download link sent right after purchase

If you missed that first email, you can re-access your full library by contacting me directly.

Is there a table of contents or one place where everything is organized?

Yes.

When you download your materials, they come in an organized folder structure inside a ZIP file. Most teachers keep this as their main Teaching with Power – Old Testament folder and then add new weekly materials to it as they’re released.

At this time, materials are not stored in a live online dashboard—downloads are file-based so you always have full access to your content.

Why don’t materials automatically appear in Dropbox anymore?

In the past, materials were delivered through Dropbox. I no longer use that system.

Now, you:

  • Download the files directly

  • Store them on your computer or your own cloud storage.

This system is more reliable and gives you permanent access to your materials.

How should I organize my files?

Most teachers find this simple system works well:

  1. Create a main folder called Teaching with Power – Old Testament

  2. Keep your initial download as the foundation

  3. Add each week’s new lesson folder into that main folder as they’re released

What’s the difference between the Insight Videos and the Teaching Activities Videos? Which should I use?

The Insight Videos were created several years ago and are more commentary-heavy. They go deeper into background, symbolism, doctrine, and interpretation of the scriptures. While they do include teaching ideas, they are longer and more detailed than what most teachers can realistically use in a single 45–50 minute class.

The Teaching Activities Videos are new and are designed specifically with today’s classroom in mind. These videos focus almost entirely on how to teach the lesson—clear structure, student-centered activities, discussion questions, visuals, and pacing that fits a real class period.

How we recommend using them together:
If you’re teaching, start with the Teaching Activities Video first. That will give you a clear, doable plan for your lesson. Then, if you want added depth or clarification on certain verses or ideas, you can go back to the Insight Video and watch the portions that line up with what you’re teaching.

In short:

  • Teaching Activities Videos = How to teach the lesson

  • Insight Videos = Deeper understanding of the content

They’re designed to complement each other—but you’ll feel most confident starting with the Teaching Activities video.
